The ASA promotes collecting historical images, taking contemporary images and 3D as art. ASA hosted the 1995 and 2003 National Stereoscopic Association Conventions. Members are active in all aspects of 3D and in major 3D organizations.

Very active and progressive stereo club located in Portland, Oregon. The club sponsors a yearly exhibition, many public outreach displays and projected programs, a monthly newsletter which is indexed and viewable on the web, and hosted the 2004 NSA Convention.

The Detroit Stereographic Society meets the second Wednesday of each month (Sept-June) to share information and view stereo images.

The Oakland Camera Club (OCC) was founded in 1934 and is a member of the Photographic Society of America and the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs. The Oakland Camera Club Stereo Division meets on the first Tuesday of each month (except December).
